2011 Carolina Cardinals

2009 16U NC ASA "A" State Championship
|
ABOUT THE TEAM:
The 2012 18U Carolina Cardinals team is a combination of both Ray Chandler's 16U team and Rick McHone's 18U team with a couple of very talented addittions. In a combined effort, the "new" team was envisioned to be a viable 18U A USA/ASA National championship contender in 2011.
The "new" team formed with some of the most talented players from NC and surrounding states.
The two teams were merged to form one, premier team to compete at the highest levels of girls fastpitch all over the nation.
After the unexpected loss of Ray Chandler in September 2010, the decision was made to carry on the vision and legacy Coach Chandler had left behind. This team is that endeavor.
The team foundation is centered around knowing and believing in the importance of the physical, mental and spiritual pieces of the game. These young ladies know that attitude and effort can make the difference on the field and off! The Carolina Cardinals team knows that striving to be a better ball player is really about striving to be a better person. These girls believe that life’s most valuable lessons are found on every corner of the field. They know that the time spent on the DIAMOND will be what makes them SHINE in life.
